Piotr Sadowski has been elected Co-Chair of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC)'s Liaison Group, working alongside the EESC President to strengthen civil dialogue and participatory democracy across the EU.

He succeeds Brikena Xhomaqi (2020–2025), who advanced the Group’s role in connecting 47 European civil society organisations with EU institutions.

In his inaugural speech, Mr Sadowski highlighted solidarity, inclusivity and resilience, calling the Group "a space of collaboration and shared responsibility, where national and European voices shape the EESC dialogue with EU institutions" and pledging to keep the Group open and accessible to diverse voices.

Mr Sadowski is Secretary General of Volonteurope, Vice President of the Conference of INGOs at the Council of Europe, and Vice President of the Lifelong Learning Platform. He is a long-time advocate for social justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, and progressive policies. (ab)
