Letter of solidarity from the EESC Workers' Group - Argentina 10th April

On behalf of the Workers' Group, I want to express our full solidarity with the Argentinians that will take the streets on the 9th of April and the general strike of the 10th of April fighting for their social, trade union and labour rights.

The constant deterioration of wages and working and living conditions of Argentinians, produced by the aggressive neoliberal measures rammed through by the Argentinian government, are only deepening the economic and social crisis the country is experiencing. The complete disregard for collective bargaining and social dialogue point to an extremely dangerous and authoritarian path.

We fully support Argentinians in their fight for their social and labour rights, and we join the call for general mobilisation of the Argentinian people and workers against these measures.

We stand as before by you, with your own motto

'Not one step back!'
