The Employers' Group announces new appointments for the next EESC mandate

17 September 2025 – As the 2020-2025 mandate of the European Economic and Social Committee draws to a close with the September plenary (17-18 September), the EESC Employers' group announces its key leadership appointments for the next term.

Sandra Parthie has been elected new President of the EESC Employers' Group for the first half of the 2025-2030 mandate, which will start in October.

“I am honoured to take up the presidency of the EESC Employers' Group at such a crucial moment” she said.

In a time when economic uncertainty seems to be Europe’s most defining feature, the newly appointed EESC Employers' Group President steps into her role with a clear message: Europe’s prosperity depends on defending and strengthening its competitiveness—and no, that’s not just a buzzword.

"I'm not one for platitudes but for action—plus a healthy dose of optimism. Competitiveness is the key to long-term prosperity for our companies and citizens. EU businesses and entrepreneurs are not the problem—they’re the solution. We will ensure their voice resonates at the European level" she added.

Other key appointments include:

All newly appointed members will take up their posts after the Renewal plenary on 21-23 October 2025, when the EESC starts officially its next term of office.
