How civil society advocates for human rights in the context of EU legislation
Report
The event focused first on the EESC opinions on human rights and the supply chains. Students read the EESC opinions on these themes and tried to evaluate the impact of the EESC works in the legislative process and thus the added value of the EESC.
After this impact assessment exercise, the organiser raised awareness of the elections and asked participants which are the most important issues that the EU should tackled. According to the event participants, the 3 most important issues that the next Commission /EP should address are:
- climate
- social issues
- human rights.
