On 13 November, the event, entitled Trust in liberal professions in the age of digitalisation and artificial intelligence, aimed to gain fresh insight into the impact of artificial intelligence on the exercise of professional services and on clients' and patients' rights. Speakers addressed fundamental issues such as transparency, communication and trust in professionals, regulators' awareness of the challenges linked to the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence, the consequences on the quality of professional services and their capacity to protect public interest. Liberal Professions 4.0: Sustainable Transformation of Professional Features
On 27 November the Liberal Professions Category (EESC) hosted an event related to the Day of the Liberal Professions. After this event, Group III President Arno Metzler and both Spokespersons of the Liberal Professions Category Marina Elvira Calderone and Rudolf Kolbe met with the President of the European Parliament Antonio TAJANI. They jointly discussed the next steps to infiltrate the common definition of liberal professions in the European law making process, in order to fully unfold their potential and thus improve the competitiveness of EU economy.
