Organisations or State agencies involved: schools, institutions
Type: Education
Description of the initiative:
Action Innocence has been working on informing and raising awareness of the risks associated with the Internet among children and adults for over 12 years. Since 2002, Action Innocence has been presenting its “Surfing the Internet with care” prevention programme in public and private schools. This programme consists of several modules that are adapted to the various target audiences:
- Ze Monstres du Net (Net Monsters) / 9-12 years
- Ateliers Ados (Workshop for Teenagers) / 12-15 years
- Ze Mots du Net (Net Words) / 10 years and over
- netcity / 9-12 years
- Specific sessions / special needs groups
- A presentation and debate session for parents and teachers
- Training sessions for adults (education, health, prevention professionals)
Action Innocence develops prevention materials intended for the different target audiences that it encounters. These materials are updated every year depending on innovations in Internet trends and its use by young people, on the one hand, and on the acquisition of fresh knowledge of online safety measures, on the other.
