Disability rights - Mission report from Country Visit to Cyprus

Article 27 of the UNCRPD entitles persons with disabilities to the right to right to work in an environment that is open, inclusive and accessible. Unfortunately, in the reality, the employment rate of persons with disabilities is much lower than the one of non-disabled people. During the fact-finding mission, the EESC delegation met representatives from national authorities, social partners and organisations representing persons with disabilities to assess the situation in Cyprus.

The country visit took place from 18 to 20 November 2019 in Cyprus.
