2023-04-19 & 20 - The Roma - Mission report from country visit to Spain

The Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda coordinates the national Roma integration strategy in Spain. Whilst considerable progress has been registered over the years in relation to Roma inclusion, further efforts were needed at a regional level to work towards policies that took the Roma community more into consideration. Ensuring a more widespread use of the State Roma Council, including at a regional level, would constitute a crucial step. Several projects were ongoing, including employment programmes, education campaigns as well others focused on Romani culture and language. The country visit took place on 19 and 20 April in Spain.
