2022-09-27 & 28 - The Roma - Mission report from country visit to Hungary

Whilst EU-level initiatives such as the Roma strategic framework are considered positive, more effort is needed to enforce this framework and to prioritise Roma involvement in its implementation.  More action is required to solve the problems in education, amongst which segregation and to counter the early drop-out rates.  The economic difficulties created by the pandemic, as well as the consequences of the war in Ukraine have affected the Roma community disproportionately, placing them in an even more difficult situation. The country visit took place from 27 to 28 September in Hungary.
