Tenth EU DAG meeting under the TCA

Luísa Santos, the new Chair, welcomed the EU DAG to its 10th meeting, putting forward some actions and proposals to give more visibility to future meetings and improve cooperation with UK DAG. In the light of this approach, EU DAG members discussed the impact of recent developments in EU-UK relations as well as the priorities for the TCA review.

These discussions were further enriched with the presence of Commission officials, who updated the members on a number of topical issues (BTOM, sea market, UK CBAM, industrial products, UK sponsorship programme, data protection). Representatives of UKMIS also joined the discussion by providing some feedback on several topics raised by EU DAG members (such as decline in EU-UK trade, mobility, sponsorship programme, labelling, data exchange, carbon emissions) and by sharing the recent developments in the UK, highlighting achievements such as the Windsor Framework and the working arrangement between Frontex and the UK.
