The Second Annual All-Island Stakeholder Forum
The EU-UK Follow-Up Committee of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is pleased to announce that the Annual All-Island Stakeholder Forum will be held in Dublin on 10th June 2026. This forum is the second of its kind, the first having been held in Dundalk last year.
This year’s forum is titled: ‘Reset and Recharge: All-island contributions to a resilient EU-UK relationship’. It is organised in collaboration with an Advisory Group of representative organisations from the three ‘pillars’ of the EESC – workers, employers and civil society organisations – from both jurisdictions.*
The Forum will take place in Europe House, Dublin in hybrid format. It will include keynote addresses from Her Excellency Kara Owen and Minister for European Affairs Thomas Byrne, two plenary sessions and in-person breakout discussion groups.
The Annual All-Island Stakeholder Forum is an ambitious EESC initiative – gathering a wide range of business, worker and civil society stakeholders on the island together to share insights and expertise on common concerns post-Brexit. Through the plenaries and break-out discussions, these will be translated into recommendations for the EU-UK Follow-Up committee to share with relevant EU and UK institutions, as well as with the Irish Government as it commences its Presidency of the European Council.
(* Members of the Advisory Group: Ad Hoc Group for North/South and East/West Cooperation; Institute of Directors (IoD); Irish Business and Employers’ Confederation (Ibec); Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU); NI Business Brexit Working Group (NIBBWG); Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action (NICVA); The Wheel. The work of the Advisory Group is facilitated by Professor Katy Hayward and Professor David Phinnemore (Queen’s University Belfast)).
