Scope and objectives

On 30 January 2025, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will co-host the European Rural Parliament (ERP) Mid-Term event in Brussels. The event takes place at a pivotal moment to shape the future of European policies for rural communities together with key EU policy makers.

This event is an opportunity to:

  • Listen to National and Regional Rural Parliament recommendations;
  • Have a meaningful dialogue between civil society organisations and EU decision-makers on rural challenges and opportunities within the current Multiannual Financial Framework and beyond;
  • Strengthen the momentum for rural development and ensure that rural voices remain central to Europe’s agenda.

We strongly encourage you to follow the debate to amplify the collective voice of rural communities. Your engagement is crucial in shaping our rural future.

The event will be interpreted into EN, FR and ES, and will be webstreamed freely on our website. In-person attendance is possible upon registration (places are limited).
