Eleventh EU DAG meeting under the TCA

The 11th meeting of the EU DAG, which took place right after European elections and ahead of UK general election, was dedicated to members’ presentations on pressing ongoing issues, including CBAM, concerns around labour rights LPF and non-regression, the sand eel dispute and the transport of live animals and common veterinary.

In addition to that, DG Trade officials, besides having contributed to these discussions, also provided some feedback and updates on the working groups on automotive and pharma products and on the preparation for the upcoming Trade Specialised Committees. All this was then followed by an internal discussion on the next steps towards September's joint meetings (DAG-to-DAG meeting and CSF in Brussels on 19-20 September 2024) and beyond.
