Active stakeholder involvement, especially civil society, is essential for effective implementation and ownership of the macroregional strategies. The EESC calls for better funding coordination and governance especially on the NRPPs to ensure long-term impact and regional resilience. Partnership plans are national/regional, so there's a risk that cross‑border cooperation might not be well integrated unless national plans explicitly include MRS‑relevant cross‑border coordination.

In this context, the EESC organises a public debate on Thursday, 20 November 2025 starting at 14:30. The event will be webstreamed. No registration is needed and participation is free of charge.
