Celebrating 75 Years of Unity: Europe Day 2025 at the EESC
The festivities have come to a close, but the spirit of Europe Day 2025 lives on. This year's EU Open Day was a thrilling celebration of the EESC's role in shaping EU policy and a tribute to the visionary Schuman Declaration that paved the way for 75 years of peace and cooperation in Europe.
Discovering the EESC: Visitors from far and wide flocked to our stands, hosted by the EESC's three groups, six sections and the CCMI, to learn about our work and how we contribute to EU decision-making.
Our volunteers were on hand to share their passion and expertise, while interactive speed voting sessions with EESC members gave visitors a unique glimpse into the inner workings of our plenary sessions.
But EU Open Day at the EESC was more than just a learning experience! Our digital quizzes, wheel of fortune and caricaturist offered something for everyone, while the kids' corner was a hub of creativity with hat-making workshops and face painting.
Live music performances set the tone for a fantastic atmosphere and our photo booth and EU-themed postcard station were a hit with visitors.
EU Open Day at the EESC was a celebration of unity, bringing together people from around the world to celebrate the remarkable peace project that Robert Schuman envisioned all those years ago.
