The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

En este episodio exploramos la agricultura ecológica, la producción ecológica y la alimentación ecológica a través del prisma de los primeros premios ecológicos de la UE. Se otorgaron en septiembre de 2022 a ocho organizaciones europeas que destacaban en la cadena alimentaria ecológica: de la mejor granja y región ecológicas a la mejor pyme y restaurante ecológicos. ¿Cuáles son las perspectivas a la hora de lograr el objetivo de la UE de destinar el 25 % de las tierras agrícolas al cultivo ecológico de aquí a 2030? ¿Contribuye la alimentación ecológica a la seguridad alimentaria y a la asequibilidad de los alimentos en tiempos de crisis energética y de precios? En caso afirmativo, ¿de qué manera?
