The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is the voice of organised civil society in Europe.

The EESC issues between 160 and 190 opinions and information reports a year.
It also organises several annual initiatives and events with a focus on civil society and citizens’ participation such as the Civil Society Prize, the Civil Society Days, the Your Europe, Your Say youth plenary and the ECI Day.

The EESC brings together representatives from all areas of organised civil society, who give their independent advice on EU policies and legislation. The EESC's326 Members are organised into three groups: Employers, Workers and Various Interests.

Una nueva generación de artistas sitúa la biodiversidad y la naturaleza en el centro de su práctica artística. La exposición en línea «Biodiversidad: los artistas se movilizan» pone de manifiesto la conexión que existe entre los seres humanos y la naturaleza de manera verdaderamente única. Organizada conjuntamente con la Presidencia francesa del Consejo de la UE, tendrá lugar del 20 de mayo al 20 de junio de 2022.
Para este proyecto de arte en línea, la delegación francesa del Comité Económico y Social Europeo ha seleccionado a cinco jóvenes artistas emblemáticos como reconocimiento a su trabajo para poner bajo el foco estas cuestiones e introducirlas en el discurso público.
Los artistas fueron seleccionados entre los 21 galardonados del Premio Planète Art Solidaire, concedido en 2021 por la organización sin ánimo de lucro Art of Change 21. En esta exposición 100 % virtual puede verse una obra de cada creador, acompañada de una explicación y un breve vídeo en los que cada artista nos habla de su obra y de su trabajo. (ck)
