Report on social stakeholders and democratic governance: The role of the social partners in consolidating political democracy and rolling out participatory democracy
At the end of the conference an "EESC Communication on the participation of Euro-Mediterranean economic and social councils and similar institutions in the Union for the Mediterranean" was adopted. It underlines the active involvement of civil society as one of the most important drivers for sustainable development in the region.
