The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the Novo NordiskFoundation and the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA) organised under the auspices of the Danish Presidency of the EU Council a conference entitled "AI Implications on European Union Civil Society: Perspectives from Denmark".
EESC President Oliver Röpke took part in the 2025 Euromed Summit of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions in Istanbul, co-organised by the European Commission (DG NEAR) and the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC). This year’s edition marked the 30th anniversary of the Barcelona Declaration and took place under the theme A New Pact for the Mediterranean.
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) has called on the EU to scale up regenerative agriculture, saying it can help rebuild soil health, restore biodiversity, and protect food production from extreme weather events resulting from climate change.
