Today, the EESC adopted a key opinion on Health and Safety at Work related to new technologies and AI. As part of a broad overview of AI and new technologies and their effects on the world of work, the EESC considers keeping a human-centric approach as the fundamental piece of any technological deployment in these fields.

The EESC considers it important to create a well-functioning, prosperity-enhancing tax system that works for people and businesses and that fosters competitiveness. The different and recent legislative acts have been adding layers of legislation to the existing taxation framework, at the hearing the EESC will look into ways to simplify complex tax framework in the EU.
