As in previous years, the Bureau of the European Migration Forum has decided to organise a consultation with civil society on the topic of the next Forum. This consultation consists of a written questionnaire and a virtual meeting on 21 April.

The EESC's Thematic study group on the inclusion of the Roma is organising a remote public hearing on 5 April 2022.
The EESC is organising a virtual conference on "Health challenges in the EU in the pandemic context" on 31 March 2022 (9h30 to 17h30).
The aims of the conference will be to look into possible actions to exit the cross cutting crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, to prevent the next health threat from spiraling out of control, and to build stronger and more resilient health systems for the future.

The hearing will gather stakeholders to discuss the proposal by the European Commission to extend the list of EU crimes referred to in Article 83(1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU) to all forms of hate crime and hate speech.
This initiative is part of the EU’s response to extremist ideologies online and more specifically to the proliferation of racist and xenophobic hate speech on the internet.
The hearing will feed in the preparation of the EESC Opinion on the subject.
In the context of the own-initiative opinion on ''The role of civil society organisations as guardians of the common good in the post-pandemic recovery'', the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is organising a remote public hearing on Monday 28 March 2022.
While Europe and its societies are still in the grip of the COVID-19 pandemic and with the Conference on the Future of Europe in its closing stages, the EESC will be holding its annual Civil Society Days in March 2022.
In order to prepare its opinion on the proposals by the European Commission on the European Drugs Agency, the EESC is organising a remote public hearing on 9 March 2022 from 9:30 am to 1 pm.
The aim of the event is to discuss the proposal and gather input from other EU Institutions, international organisations and civil society, which will feed into the EESC's opinion.

In order to prepare its opinion on the Working Conditions of Platform Workers' proposals by the European Commission, the EESC is organising a remote public hearing on 18 February 2022 from 9:30 am to 1 pm.
The conference is a joint European Commission-EESC event to discuss the annual report on the application of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, issued by the Commission in December 2021.
