In the framework of the Space & Society project, the EESC and the project partners organized six events in six different countries. The objective was to inform, network and discuss on specific thematic subjects related to EU space policy.
Lithuania was one of the six selected countries. A conference entitled "Boosting regional success in space: the Baltic way!" was organized on 20 May 2015 in Kaunas Technology University in Santakos Valley. The main topics discussed at the conference included:
The conference brought together representatives from the European Commission, national and regional governments, space associations, scientists, big businesses and SMEs and many others. The organization of the conference was supported by: Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania, Kaunas University of Technology, Lithuanian Space Association and Aleksandras Stulginskis University.
Space & Society project partner EURISY organised a conference "Satellite applications: benefits for the Baltics" in Riga, on 19 May 2015, under the auspices of the Latvian presidency. More information about this conference on EURISY website
