Energy for all: the European Union's role and action? – How to help the most vulnerable face rising energy costs

Conference - Brussels, Belgium

The European Economic and Social Committee will host a major conference on energy poverty, Energy for all: the action and role of the European Union, organised in partnership with Elisan, the European local inclusion and social action network, is organising a conference.
The main issues to be tackled include improving the energy efficiency of housing through the EU's various funding programmes (including the structural funds), energy education as an aspect of solidarity between the generations, sustainable social development in keeping with the EU's energy targets, and local social action in combating energy poverty.
