The Economy for the Common Good - Changing the way business and the economy work?

Public Hearing - EESC, Brussels, Belgium

The EESC is examining the merits and the applicability of a concept for a new sustainable economic model based on core values such as solidarity, human dignity, social justice, environmental sustainability, transparency and democratic participation. This concept for an Economy for the Common Good (ECG) has taken root in certain EU countries, with the support and assistance of local stakeholder groups, businesses and social organisations. The EESC wants to analyse these proposals in terms of achieving sustainable growth and the creation of high-quality jobs in the European Union.

In this context, the EESC will hold a public hearing on the Economy for the Common Good which will take place on Wednesday, 17 June 2015, starting at 10 a. m. at the EESC premises in Brussels.
