1st December 2014 - 9.30 - 16.30
Rue Belliard 99, room 62, 1040 Brussels
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the International Confederation of Popular Banks (CIBP), the European Association of Co-operative Banks (EACB), UNICO Banking Group and the European Association of Craft, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (UEAPME) organized a conference on Co-operative banks: a real model to finance the real economy which took place in Brussels on 1 December 2014.
The aim of this conference was to have a regular dialogue between bankers, SMEs representatives and regulators and to bring together their views. It also was a good opportunity to have a first evaluation of the new financial instruments for SMEs that started running early this year.
Two dedicated roundtables focused on First Assessment of the new EU instruments to finance SMEs and on Policy proposal to support co-operative banks in their task to finance SMEs at local level.
Panel debates were composed of high-level speakers. Stakeholders from across the EU will have a chance to exchange their views and to make their voice heard at European level.
