Dear Madam, dear Sir,
It is my pleasure to invite you to the 563rd Plenary Session of the European Economic and Social Committee. We have planned two debates (linked to EESC opinions) that will give us a fresh start after the summer break.
On Wednesday 22 September at 3 p.m., we will hold a debate on Securing Media Freedom and Diversity in Europe with Ricardo Gutiérrez, Secretary-General of the European Federation of Journalists (EFJ) and Julie Majerczak, Head of Brussels Office of Reporters without Borders.
On Thursday 23 September at 10 a.m. I invite you to follow our debate on Cohesion policy with Elisa Ferreira, Commissioner for Cohesion and Reforms.
I will be glad to welcome you at our plenary session. To that end, I invite you to use webstreaming, which will allow you to follow all the votes and discussions remotely.
Best regards,
Christa Schweng
EESC President
