Information

Background

The dialogues were announced by von der Leyen in 2023 to discuss with European industry and social partners how to strengthen the implementation of the European Green Deal, contributing to a reinforced industrial approach.

Nine Clean Transition Dialogues have taken place on hydrogen, energy-intensives industries, clean tech, energy infrastructure, critical raw materials, forest-based bioeconomy, cities, clean mobility, and steel with the aim to transform Europe into a clean, resource-efficient, fair and competitive economy.

The Communication highlights areas like the full implementation of the Critical Raw Materials Act and joint purchasing of critical raw materials; the rapidly growing bioeconomy sector; and energy prices being particularly important for the energy-intensive industries.
