Creating quality jobs for young people: what, how and when?

Room JDE 63

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), and the European Youth Forum (YFJ) organised a joint event on youth employment on 25 and 26 June in the European Economic and Social Committee.

About 100 young participants from youth organisations and the trade union movement from all over Europe gathered to discuss quality jobs creation and to make concrete proposals for a better functioning of the current EU youth employment policies. This seminar also took stock of the developments of youth employment in Europe since the Inter-Ministerial summits and high-level conferences held in Berlin, Paris and Rome in the last 3 years.

Keynote speakers from different European governing bodies (the European Commission, the European Economic and Social Committee) and EU Social Partners (ETUC, BUSINESSEUROPE) participated in this seminar.
