The EESC is organising a high-level conference in close cooperation with the Council, the EC and the Economic and Social Council of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Two half-days will be dedicated to the following topics:
- 11 November p.m.: social dumping in the road transport sector. In addition to the views of the EU institutions and key stakeholders, an exploratory EESC opinion on the matter (that should be adopted in September) will be presented;
- 12 November a.m.: cross-border infrastructural problems in road transport, particularly at the regional level, including a focus on the comprehensive TEN-T network. The topic is of particular importance to Luxembourg since it is a transit country. The Commissioner, Ms Corina Creu, responsible for regional policy, is expected to be present.
