The 2014 edition of the Your Europe, Your Say event by the European Economic and Social Committee brought groups of 16 and 17 year-olds from all 28 Member States to Brussels. Their main objective was to set five priorities for what Europe should do to become a better place and be more relevant to its citizens.

O Comité de Acompanhamento UE-Rússia é o órgão interno do CESE responsável pelas relações com a sociedade civil russa.
Desde o início da guerra encetada contra a Ucrânia pelas autoridades da Federação da Rússia, em 24 de fevereiro de 2022, a sociedade civil livre na Rússia foi silenciada por legislação especial e pela crescente repressão, tendo muitos críticos do regime sido forçados ao exílio.
Nas atuais circunstâncias difíceis, o CESE decidiu manter a porta aberta ao diálogo com a secção antiguerra da sociedade civil russa presente no território da UE.
Tal conduziu a intercâmbios frutuosos de informações e pontos de vista sobre a forma como as relações bilaterais devem prosseguir após o fim da guerra e o regresso à liberdade e à democracia no país.
