  • On 23 February the EESC adopted two opinions addressing the issues of education and training and vocational skills development in the EU. Initiatives intended to promote high quality education for all could be meaningless, the EESC warned, if the austerity measures still in place in many EU countries prevented these from making the highly needed investments. As for the Commission's New Skills Agenda, the EESC wishes to see more innovative solutions focusing on social and gender perspectives, non-formal and informal learning and entrepreneurship as a life skill.

  • The vote for CETA in the European Parliament opens a new chapter of closer relations between Canada and the EU. There is still a bumpy road ahead, however, with ratification of the agreement needed in all EU Member States. CETA is a progressive agreement for inclusive growth that brings substantial  benefits for SMEs. Business has an important role to play in promoting the agreement and providing real-life examples of its benefits. These were just some of the views expressed during the debate with Canada's ambassador to the European Union, Daniel Costello, which took place at the Employers' Group meeting on 22nd January 2017.

  • ELEVER FRA MORSØ GYMNASIUM REPRÆSENTERER DANSKE UNGE FOR AT GIVE DERES MENING TIL KENDE OM EU'S FREMTID

    Den 2. marts kl. 10.00 får elever fra Morsø Gymnasium i Nykøbing Mors besøg af Pirkko Raunemaa, medlem af Det Europæiske Økonomiske og Sociale Udvalg, for at forberede dem til "Dit Europa, din mening!". Der er tale om et europæisk ungdomsforum, som samler 33 skoler fra EU og kandidatlandene for at drøfte Europas fremtid. Arrangementet finder sted den 30.-31. marts 2017 i EØSU's lokaler i Bruxelles. 

  • UCZNIOWIE Z I LICEUM OGÓLNOKSZTAŁCĄCEGO im. IGNACEGO PADEREWSKIEGO REPREZENTOWAĆ BĘDĄ POLSKĄ MŁODZIEŻ, WYPOWIADAJĄC SIĘ NA TEMAT PRZYSZŁOŚCI EUROPY

    Dnia 3 marca Krzysztof Pater, członek Europejskiego Komitetu Ekonomiczno-Społecznego, odwiedzi uczniów I Liceum Ogólnokształcącego im. Ignacego Paderewskiego w Wałbrzychu w celu przygotowania ich do wydarzenia „Twoja Europa, Twoje Zdanie”. Pod tą nazwą kryje się zgromadzenie młodzieży europejskiej, skupiające 33 szkoły z państw członkowskich UE oraz krajów kandydujących w celu dyskutowania o przyszłości Europy. Zbierze się ono w siedzibie EKES-u w Brukseli w dniach 30–31 marca 2017 r.

     

  • A Szabad Waldorf Általános Iskola és Gimnázium DIÁKJAI Magyarország IFJÚSÁGÁNAK KÉPVISELETÉBEN ELMONDJÁK MEGLÁTÁSAIKAT EURÓPA JÖVŐJÉRŐL

    Joó Kinga, az Európai Gazdasági és Szociális Bizottság tagja meglátogatja a szegedi Szabad Waldorf Általános Iskola és Gimnázium diákjait, hogy felkészítse őket a „Your Europe, Your Say” (YEYS, „A Te Európád, a Te szavad”) című rendezvényre. Ez a rendezvény az európai ifjúság közgyűlése, amelynek keretében 2017. március 30-án és 31-én uniós és tagjelölt országok 33 iskolájának képviselői gyűlnek össze Brüsszelben, az EGSZB székházában, hogy megvitassák Európa jövőjét.

    Is-Sur Charles Vella, membru tal-Kumitat Ekonomiku u Soċjali Ewropew, nhar it-3 ta’ Marzu, se jżur l-istudenti mill-iskola sekondarja tal-Kulleġġ ta’ Għawdex, li tinsab fir-Rabat, Għawdex, biex iħejjihom għal “L-Ewropa Tiegħek, il-Lehen Tieghek". “L-Ewropa Tiegħek, il-Lehen tieghek” hija assemblea Ewropea taż-Żgħażagħ li tiġbor flimkien 33 skola mill-pajjiżi tal-UE u dawk kandidati sabiex jiddibattu dwar il-futur tal-Ewropa, u ser issir fil-KESE fi Brussell fit-30-31 ta’ Marzu 2017.

  • On 22 February, EESC President Dassis met with Mr Eugene Czolij, President of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC), which is an organisation representing the interests of over 20 million Ukrainians living abroad.

  • Sainte Pulchérie Fransız Lisesi Öğrencileri Avrupa'nın geleceğinin tartışıldığı oturumda Türkiye'deki gençleri temsil ediyor

    28 Şubat günü Avrupa Ekonomik ve Sosyal Komitesi (EESC)'nin Alman üyesi Arno Metzler, İstanbul Sainte Pulchérie Lisesi öğrencilerini "Sizin Avrupanız Sizin Sözünüz/ Senin Avrupan, Söz Senin /Your Europe, Your Say" (YEYS) etkinliğine hazırlamak üzere öğrencileri ziyaret edecek. Avrupa'nın geleceğimi tartışmaları amacıyla AB ve aday ülkelerden 33 okulu bir araya getiren bir Avrupa Gençlik Meclisi olan YEYS 30-31 Mart 2017 tarihlerinde Brüksel'deki EESC'de toplanacak.

     

     

  • LES ÉLÈVES DU LYCÉE CASSINI  REPRÉSENTERONT LES JEUNES FRANÇAIS POUR RELAYER LEUR AVIS SUR L’AVENIR DE L’EUROPE

    Le 28 février, à 13:30, des élèves du Lycée Cassini à Clermont, recevront la visite d’un membre du Comité économique et social européen, Mme. Reine-Claude Mader, en vue de leur préparation à participer à la manifestation intitulée «Votre Europe, votre avis» (YEYS). «Votre Europe, votre avis» est une assemblée européenne de jeunes réunissant 33 établissements scolaires sélectionnés dans l’UE et les pays candidats qui offre un forum de discussion sur l’avenir de l’Europe. Elle se réunira au CESE à Bruxelles les 30 et 31 mars 2017.
