Joint efforts, close multilateral cooperation, consideration of alternative approaches and solidarity are needed in order to ensure a rapid and efficient response to short- and long-term measures to secure green and energy transition. Striving for a just transition also requires sustainable social conditions in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the European Pillars of Social Rights.
