Rewarding solidarity initiatives to tackle the Covid-19 emergency and its consequences in Europe
The Civil Soidarity Prize will reward up to 29 not-for-profit initiatives carried out by natural persons, civil society organisations or private companies which aim to tackle the Covid-19 crisis and its manifold consequences.
The event will explore the potential of communities to revive local economies as we emerge from the pandemic, but in a way that also takes account of the deepening climate and ecological emergency and the urgent need for a deeper societal transformation.
The 28th meeting of the European Economic Area Consultative Committee took place in Brussels (Belgium) on 18 September 2020. The members of the Committee discussed the latest developments in EEA and EU/EFTA issues as well as the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the labour market, and they adopted resolutions on the following topics: "The European Green Deal" and "The EUs Industrial Strategy and the EEA"
End-of-mandate ceremony and Farewell ceremony for outgoing members, on Thursday 17 September from 9.30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
During the meeting, the EU DAG discussed the implementation of the TSD-chapter and the state of play of the dispute settlement procedure under the EU-Republic of Korea Free Trade Agreement. They also had an exchange of views with Ambassador Yoon, Head of the Mission of the Republic of Korea to the European Union.
The hybrid conference “United in development: Intergenerational and territorial justice” will gather panelists of the Open Eyes Economy Congress and EESC representatives. The sessions will be divided into three major topics:

- Territorial solidarity
- Solidarity in development
