On 12 February, the Sustainable Development Observatory will hold a debate on the EU Reflection Paper on Sustainable Europe by 2030. It will then look at several national strategies and processes involving civil society actors.

This event will explore civil society's role in the Sustainable Development Strategies. It will also give particular attention to the monitoring of the progress on SDGs, both at the national and EU level by debating the SDG indicators and potential for their improvement.
The second event for the European Day of Sustainable Communities will showcase the critical contribution that community-led initiatives on climate change and sustainability are making to support EU policy goals in these areas.
The European Economic and Social Committee is holding a public debate to explore and propose indicators that are suited to European civil society's needs for monitoring the progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals.
We are now in the third year since the Goals were launched and not enough has been done to ensure they will be achieved by 2030. This event will present and examine Eurostat's new EU tailored SDG Report and engage participants in a discussion on how to best address various SDGs requiring concerted support for their further implementation.
