The European Economic and Social Committee has the pleasure of inviting you to a poster exhibition on Integrated Pest Management (IPM).
It has been developed by Pesticide Action Network Europe, the International Organisation for Biological Control and the International Biocontrol Manufacturers' Association. It consists of 11 posters explaining the general principles of IPM, which is as an ecosystem approach to crop protection that combines different strategies to minimise the use of pesticides.

The EESC will be hosting a photograph exhibition from 26 May 2016 showcasing Dutch creative industries. The focus is put particularly on estuary and maritime technology, innovation and sustainability. The exhibition, entitled "the Netherlands: resourceful & future-proof", is being held in cooperation with the Dutch Presidency of the EU and will run until 24 June 2016 in the Foyer 6 of the JDE building.
The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) will be opening its doors to the general public between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
This year, the EESC is focussing on what civil society organisations are doing in response to the migration crisis in Europe.
Under the common interinstitutional slogan of “United in diversity”, the Committee will also showcase its work on economic and social policy for the European Union, its work on sustainable development and its efforts to support participatory democracy in Europe and throughout the world.
On the day’s programme are a variety of information stands, fun activities for all, a photo booth, a children’s corner and musical events.
Exhibition of photographs taken by the British photojournalist Giles Duley
In the framework of a cooperation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Giles Duley is capturing the stories of the refugees arriving on the Greek island of Lesvos.
Mr Duley will take part at the opening and present his work in person
Our first exhibition linked to the Dutch EU Presidency in 2016 is called "Time will change". It consists of two projects: Living colours and Biobased collection. The opening of the exhibition will take place on 16th of March at 6.30 pm and the exhibition will remain open until the 15th of April in the Foyer 6 (JDE building). The exposed student works form a joint exhibition of the Centre of Expertise Biobased Economy (Locatie Avans Hogeschool, Breda) and AKV St Joost Academy of Art & Design, both situated in the Netherlands.

This exhibition will be organized in cooperation with the Historical Archives of the European Union, Alinari, Consiglio Italiano del Movimiento Europeo and SMILE.

The European Economic and Social Committee has the pleasure of inviting you to the exhibition of photographs taken by the kids of the Ecole de de Devoirs de l’Antenne Nord-Est du CPAS de la Ville de Bruxelles.
After having built their own photo camera and mastered the shooting and developing procedures, the kids explored their city, with a different gaze.

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) in collaboration with the United Nations Regional Information Centre (UNRIC) organises the screening of the documentary "The disorder of the senses" ("El desorden de los sentidos") in its original Spanish version with English subtitles. The screening will take place on 14 December at 5.00 pm, in the EESC premises (JDE6th floor).
The screening will be followed by a debate with the participation of the protagonists, the film director and the producer, a UN representative and a member of the EESC's Permanent Study Group on Disability.
