The EESC plans to launch the 10th edition of the civil society prize in the second quarter of 2018.
The prize will be open to civil society organisations and individuals and will reward initiatives that have made a significant contribution to promoting European identity and integration. Its overall objective will be to raise awareness of the contribution that civil society organisations and/or individuals can make to the creation of a European identity and citizenship in a way that underpins the common values that shore up European integration.
The indicative deadline for applications will be in September 2018. The total value of the prize to be shared among up to five winners is likely to be 50.000 EUR. The prize award ceremony is expected to take place on 13 December 2018.
