At its December plenary, the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) discussed the issues affecting young people in the labour market in the context of the 2022 European Year of Youth and the 2023 European Year of Skills. Its Civil Society Prize will go both to projects trying to create a better future for young people, and to schemes lending support to Ukrainians affected by Russia's brutal invasion of their country
