European Labour Authority

Study Presentation

The EESC will host the presentation of the "European Labour Authority" study on Tuesday 2 April 2019, in meeting room VM3 in the VMA building.

Labour mobility is an essential component of European integration and can help achieve social cohesion and economic growth at their highest levels if it protects workers' rights, ensures good working conditions and avoids social dumping.  A European Labour Authority, the establishment of which is proposed within the framework of the European Pillar of Social Rights, has the potential to be a key body for this aim.

With this in mind, the Workers' Group will present this study in which concise, evidence-based recommendations are given in order to ensure that the ELA fulfils its purpose.

The study will be presented by its author, Roberto Pedersini and the event will take the form of an open debate, with panel interventions from invited speakers.
