On 7 November, the Rural Pact Coordination Group (CG) convened for its second meeting since its inception. The CG plays a crucial role in developing strategies, coordinating actions, and ensuring effective implementation of the Rural Pact and brings together diverse stakeholders to address challenges and advance sustainable development in rural areas.

Academia, local civil society organisations, representatives of regional and national authorities and members of the European Economic and Social Committee met at a conference in Dolni Vítkovice, a former industrial area for coal mining and steel production in Ostrava, on 11 October 2022. The conference on Reinventing the Moravian-Silesian Region in search of a socially just transition was organised by the EESC's Civil Society Organisations' Group as part of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the EU.

Une réunion extraordinaire du Bureau de la NAT a eu lieu en France, à Rouen, les 8 et 9 septembre 2022, à l'initiative de M. Arnold Puech d'Alissac (membre du Groupe des employeurs). L'objectif était d'explorer l'approche française en matière d'agriculture du carbone faisant suite à l'avis du CESE sur les cycles durables du carbone, ainsi que les atouts agricoles de la région Normandie.
NAT members promoted the EESC messages on Rural Development at the European Rural Parliament annual meeting in in Kielce (Poland) on 12-15 September 2022. The event gathered around 350 participants from 39 European countries.

An interview with Piroska Kállay, a member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) from the Workers' Group, representing Medosz, the Trade Union of Agriculture, Forestry, Food and Water Supply Workers in Hungary. The NAT section invited the two winners of the COPA COGECA 2021 Innovation Award for Women Farmers to join its Section meeting of 15 April 2021 to bring practical and innovative ideas in their debates.
