Andrzej Malinowski

Member of the European Economic and Social Committee since 2004, joining the Committee as the President of Employers of Poland (since 2001). He studied economics at Poznań Economic University and holds a PhD in economics. After his studies, he worked in government administration and in 1996 the Prime Minister entrusted him with organising the Ministry of Economy, where he was later appointed Secretary of State. Andrzej's passion is to promote the idea of entrepreneurship and free market principles. Since the COP 24 held in Katowice, as the President of the Employers of Poland, is holding the Presidency of Marrakesh Business Action for Climate (MBA4Climate), the initiative that aims to create synergy and permanent exchange of knowledge and experiences between private sectors in order to achieve their climate commitments. Andrzej has been honoured with numerous distinctions, including the Commander's Cross with Star of the Order of Polonia Restituta.

President of the EESC Sustainable Development Observatory since 2018 and a member of the EESC's since 2014 for Group II (Workers). From 2015 to March 2018, he was the president of the EESC's Permanent Study Group on Sustainable Food Systems. Peter is one of the three EESC members steering the work of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform, a joint initiative by the EESC and the European Commission. His first occupation was cheesemaker. Later on he was a regional officer of the NGG trade union (Food and Catering Union, affiliated to the DGB) for 27 years, in charge of dairy industries and bakeries.

Cillian Lohan has been Vice-President for Communication of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) since October 2020, and an active member of the institution since 2015.

Cillian Lohan has been Vice-President for Communication of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) since October 2020, and an active member of the institution since 2015.
He has worked extensively in the corporate and environmental sectors.
He is a leader in the Circular Economy field and was the inaugural chair of the European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform, which he helped to establish. Cillian has extensive experience as a delegate to the United Nations, working on initiatives such as the COP climate negotiations and the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development.
As CEO of the Green Economy Foundation, he has overseen ambitious projects including the planting of over one million trees in Ireland and the establishment of a wildlife reserve in Tobago.
Cillian graduated from University College Cork and the University of Ulster with a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Science.
