Editorial

September kicked off with a return to the "new normal" for members of civil society. The agenda for Europe and its Member States continues to be busy and will intensify as we get closer to the Conference on the Future of Europe. The work of civil society did not slacken off because of the pandemic: many of us continued at the same pace throughout. Others mobilised their networks to ensure sufficient account is taken of civil society concerns in the debate on the Future of Europe. In this context, the EESC and the European civil society organisations that are members of the EESC Liaison Group (LG-CSOs) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding to join forces and to co-organise joint activities, debates and events at EU, national, regional and local level over the next few months. This process is key in making the voices of citizens heard and co-creating      solutions for     a more citizen-centred  social and civil dialogue in Europe. We cannot waste an important chance at a very challenging moment for humanity.
