A series of measures have been put in place to help small and medium-sized enterprises from the confederation of Spanish SMEs and business organisations in Catalonia.

Action taken by the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (CEPYME) during the COVID-19 crisis:

  • Setting up a specific email address for SMEs, where their queries and doubts could be addressed.
  • Surveys (SME Barometer) were conducted, with the number of businesses taking part totalling more than 4 700. They were carried out with the aim of finding out first-hand about the impact of COVID-19, the measures being taken, access to state-endorsed financing and difficulties in implementing the government's measures, etc.
  • Agreements have been reached with multinational companies such as Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Orange, Mapfre, Iberdrola, Prosegur, Wolters Kuwer, Renault, etc., to offer tools and services to help cope with the COVID-19 crisis on very favourable terms or free of charge.
