As in previous years, the EESC will be present at the yearly Conference of the Parties of the  United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change – COP24, which this year takes place in Katowice, Poland, from 2-14 December 2018.


The purpose of this event will be to propose ways to guarantee the appropriate funding needed to achieve the transition to a zero-carbon economy and a sustainable Europe by 2050.

Businesses have great potential to provide climate solutions, be they technologies, products, services or expertise. This document summarises the views of the Employers' Group on climate change and on the role of business in addressing that challenge.
