Information memo: SDGs in new economic models

Background

The partial paradigm shift inspired by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has already impacted economies, businesses and consumers. And this, in turn, has impacted how the SDGs are being implemented. The time has come to scale up, using the common sustainable practices already being implemented as a basis for taking these sustainable practices to the next level. This can be done primarily through legislation, in particular by linking to the proposal made in the Green Deal. It would also be useful to define the principles and parameters and make proposals on how to monitor, including Due Diligence in supply chains, for instance.
