The pandemic has changed the context of work, and we needed to move fast to adapt to this challenging situation.

UIL, together with the other trade union confederations, CGIL and CISL, has signed several agreements with companies  to introduce special working arrangements during the COVID-19 period

We have implemented smart working, offered parental leave and concluded tripartite agreements with the government and the Employers' Association on allowing a return to work under safe conditions. Consultations with the government are ongoing, focusing on several social safety nets for workers, unemployment benefits and income support for disadvantaged groups. We will also be taking part in the consultation launched by the government on a future national plan for receiving European funding under the EU package of financial measures.
