The Labour Market Observatory of the EESC is organising a conference entitled "Solidarity between generations: a focus on ageing workers " on the 30 April 2019, at the EESC.
10 years after the first European Day of Solidarity between Generations (29 April 2009), we will look into the concept of solidarity and cooperation between generations, for a fairer and sustainable labour market. We will put the focus on the situation of ageing workers and the preconditions for them to stay active in the new world of work.
The event will showcase several good practices from EU countries and feature speakers from the organised civil society, European Commission and the EESC. All the discussions will feed into an opinion that is currently being prepared by the EESC at the request of the incoming Finnish Presidency, on "Changing world of work and ageing workers"
Join us on 30.4 as from 9:30 a.m. (EESC, JDE51) to listen to the speakers and have your say on the subject!
