Smart solutions for sustainable and inclusive societies

In the framework of the Estonian EU Presidency, the EESC Various Interests Group has organized an extraordinary meeting in Tallinn, capital of Estonia, on Tuesday, 12 September 2017.

The conference "Smart solutions for sustainable and inclusive society" was focused on promoting e-services, e-government, urban development and e-solutions and their role in boosting innovation and sustainable and inclusive EU, which is a crucial component of the current Estonian Presidency's work programme.

The conference was divided in two parallel workshops, which gave the opportunity to focus on one side on Smart technologies servicing balanced social development, and on Smart solutions for sustainable agriculture on the other.

Workshop 1:

  • e-solutions and assistive technologies for disadvantaged groups
  • Benefits of inclusive societies

Workshop 2:

  • Innovation and sustainability in farming sector
  • EESC perspective of sustainable farming and innovation
  • Simple e-solutions for smart farming
