First EU DAG meeting under the TCA

The EU Domestic Advisory Group (DAG) set up under the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation agreement to advise on the implementation of the agreement, held its constitution meeting Thursday 25 November. It elected its Presidency team with Tanja Buzek (Trade Unions - EESC) as Chair and two Vice-Chairs, Luisa Santos (Employers – BusinessEurope) and Tina Blohm (NGOs - Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung). It is ready and keen to constructively enrich this new relationship, building on EU civil society networks and expertise. During the meeting, members engaged with representatives of DG Trade on how to best work together and on current implementation issues. Members also started mapping out the possible priorities for the mandate and activities going forward. The next steps will be a second EU DAG meeting in the beginning of February 2022.
