On 11 March 2010 the ECO- Section organised a hearing on Socially Responsible Financial Products at the premises of the Spanish Economic and Social Council (CES) in Madrid. Key stakeholders intervened on the importance of SRI within the framework of the financial crisis, on screening and standardisation initiatives in the field of Socially Responsible Investment (SRI), and on the demand of consumers regarding SRI. The hearing provided valuable input for the own initiative opinion on Socially Responsible Financial Products, of which Mr Trías Pinto (ES) is rapporteur.
