On May 8th the Hungarian members of the EESC celebrated Europe Day in the Athletic Center of the centrally placed Margaret Island of Budapest, together with representatives of the European Commission and EP offices in Budapest, and a number of other Europe-linked institutions, Prime Minister's Office, civil organisations and NGOs.

In a stand dedicated to the Committee, the members had the chance to speak to visitors about their activity and the role of the EESC. In the same context, the EESC will open its doors to public on 28th May under the common interinstitutional slogan of “United in diversity".



On May 7th celebrations for the Europe Day took place in Paris, on the square outside the Town Hall.

The EESC was represented by its French members Henri Malosse (Employers' Group), Christophe Lefèvre (Workers' Group) and Christiane Basset (Various Interests Group).


 


On May 5th the Czech members of the EESC celebrated Europe Day on the Střelecký ostrov - Island in Prague, together with representatives of the European Commission office in Prague, the current and former EU Commissioners, Ms Jourova and Mr Fulle, civil society organisations and NGOs. In a stand dedicated to the Committee, the Members, accompanied by former Members, had the chance to speak to visitors about their activity and the role of the EESC. In the same context, the EESC will open its doors to public on 28th May under the common interinstitutional slogan of “United in diversity".
